A vape coil is the heating element that sits inside the tank or pod of your vape, which turns your vape juice or e-liquid into vapour for inhalation. Vape coils are primarily responsible for turning your vape juice or e-liquid into vapour for inhalation.

In their simplest form, they consist of a metal wire (or a mesh strip) and an absorbent wicking material. When the vape is activated, an electrical current causes the coil to rapidly heat up, vaporising the liquid which is stored in the cotton.

How long do Vaporesso coils last?

On average, a genuine Vaporesso coil will last between one and two weeks under normal usage. With some devices featuring triple silicone and antibacterial cotton, Vaporesso coils are designed to last longer. However, the lifespan of a coil can vary significantly depending on several key factors:

• E-liquid type: E-liquids with high sweetener content (such as berry flavours, strawberry, mango, and candies) can cause a sticky residue to build up on the coil due to caramelisation on the wick. This means the vape coil may need to be replaced more frequently than e-liquids with lower sweetener contents.

• Vaping habits: Frequent or chain vaping without giving the coil time to cool down can cause the wicking material to burn and degrade faster. If you’d like to extend the life of your vape coils, taking shorter puffs and allowing a few seconds of cooling time can be a worthwhile decision.

• Wattage settings: Running your vape at a higher wattage than the recommended range for your coil will burn the wick more quickly. Always check the manufacturer's suggested wattage range to ensure the best experience.

When should I replace my Vaporesso coil?

Whilst designed to last linger than most coils, Vaporesso coils do eventually wear out. You'll know it's time for a new coil when you experience a burnt or unpleasant taste, your vape produces less vapour than usual, and the flavour of your e-liquid become muted.

In these cases, you can replace the coil with a new, genuine replacement to return your vape to normal.

How do I clean my Vaporesso coils?

Keep your Vaporesso Coil clean with the follwing steps:

• Remove the coil: Unscrew the coil

It is generally not recommended to clean your coils with a view to "reviving" a burn once. Once the cotton wick is burnt, it cannot be fixed, and the only solution is to replace the coil.

But, you can keep you Vaporesso Coil clean the the following steps

1. Remove the coil: Carefully unscrew the coil from your Vaporesso tank or pod.
2. Rinse with warm water: Rinse the coil under warm (not hot) running water. This can help to remove any loose residue or old e-liquid from the exterior of the coil. Do not use soap or cleaning agents, as they can leave a harmful residue.
3. Dry completely: This is the most crucial step. Use a paper towel to pat the coil dry, then set it aside to air dry completely for at least 24 hours. A fully dry coil is essential to prevent a "dry hit" and ensure proper function.

For a fresh start and the best performance, replacing your Vaporesso coil is always the best option.
