What nicotine strength should I choose for vape pods?

It is important to remember that vape pods offer a more intense throat hit before choosing your preferred strength. Deciding on the right nicotine strength depends on your preference and previous smoking habits. If you were a heavier smoker, higher strengths such as 18mg-20mg pods may make the transition easier, whilst moderate smokers (10-20 cigarettes a day) may benefit most from 10mg-12mg pods. Light smokers (less than 10 cigarettes/day) or those looking to reduce nicotine consumption can opt for 3mg-6mg, or even 0mg/ml.

How long do pod system vapes last?

A vape pod tends to last anything between 7 and 14 days, but many factors can impact this:

• Frequency of use: The more often you vape, the shorter the pod will last. 
• Flavour or brand of e-liquid: Using sweeter vape juices can negatively impact how long your coil lasts. This is because the sweetener used leaves residue on the coil after heating, causing it to degrade faster over time.
• Coil resistance: Higher resistance coils require less power, meaning they tend to last longer  
• Wattage output: The higher the wattage of your vape kit, the harder the coil will have to work. Heating it up to higher temperatures will wear the cotton down and ultimately reduce how long your vape pod lasts. Usually, the optimum wattage range for the coil will be written on the coil or pod itself, allowing you to make the most of your device.
• Maintenance: Make sure to thoroughly clean and prime your new pod to maximise its lifespan 
• "Chain Vaping": Taking puffs repeatedly without a break strains the coil and shortens its life.

• Burnt taste: This signifies that the coil is burned and needs replacing.
• Reduced vapour production: When your pod kit produces less vapour, it needs to be replaced.
• Discoloured e-liquid: Discolouration of e-liquid signals the coil is nearing the end of its lifespan.
